What browsers does your site work with?
This site was carefully designed to be used with most common, modern
browsers. A few notes on browser compatibility are given below for those
interested.
 |
Mozilla Firefox 1.0+
Mozilla Firefox
is the primary recommended browser. This free web browser (available for Windows,
Macintosh, and many other systems) offers very fast browsing speed, compatibility
with current standards, skins, popup-blocking, tabs, and other advanced
features. If you are looking for a replacement for Internet Explorer, look
no further!

Microsoft® Internet Explorer 6.0+
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0+ is the other supported browser. Earlier
versions may also work fine as well. However, users with any version of
Internet Explorer should take care to run Windows Update on a regular
basis to patch any security or privacy issues that Microsoft fixes.
Microsoft has revealed that Internet Explorer 6.0SP2 will be the last
version until IE 7.0 is released (for Windows Longhorn users only, and
over two years away). We recommend migrating to Mozilla Firefox (above)
so you can continue to enjoy a more modern, easy-to-use web browser.

Netscape Navigator/Communicator 4.x/6.x/7.x
Later versions of Netscape Navigator/Communicator will work since it is
based partially on the Mozilla engine, but Mozilla Firefox is recommended
instead due to its better standards support, features, and speed. If you
are still using Netscape 4.x or 6.x, why wait? You will not be disappointed
with the speed and other benefits of a more up-to-date browser like Mozilla
Firefox (above).

Cookies
To use our site, you must have session cookie support turned on. We
use a session cookie to keep track of things like your score on exams as you
go through our site. Our cookies work like a number you take at a
restaurant, so our system remembers who you are after you log in once. Our
cookies do not spread information about you or your computer around the
Internet, and cookies cannot be used to transmit viruses.
Frames
Frames are used with great care on our site. They are only used when you are
actually studying courses online. Here, they allow you to jump between
sections of the text easily and move on to take the exam at any time.
Plugins
No plugins (such as RealAudio® or Adobe®
Acrobat Reader) are needed to view our site or take exams.
However, some courses include Macromedia Flash or Adobe PDF files for forms,
animations, and in-depth content. Otherwise, our code is written to conform
to the XHTML 1.01 Transitional and CSS 2.0 specification, so there are no
special requirements and nothing to download first.
Javascript/ECMAScript
You should enable Javascript/ECMAScript while using our site. Disabling
Javascript may result in certain links not working or toolbars not appearing
to be "active."
Monitor/Video Settings
Our site looks best in 1024x768 resolution on a 17" or larger monitor,
in 24-bit or 32-bit (True color) mode.
